I had the great pleasure recently to visit a small village about half of the state of Pennsylvania. This city is full of spirit and has its own personality, it is quite unique and vibrant. This town is Carlisle, Pennsylvania is a beautiful and historic, with proud residents. The downtown Carlisle is the heart, full of antique shops, art galleries, boutiques fashion, many modern accommodations, a Performing Arts Center, and many restaurants Beau.
The community is very diverse and growing cultural, intellectual and social. It has 3 colleges and boasts of its award winning schools. I understand that some local residents in recent years, the city began to decline but progress is made to make the city through a massive renovation program, with the city fathers and residents working together to achieve their goals. Carlisle is now presented itself in the world as a unique historic and beautiful and interesting town again.
People come from everywhere to several reasons. It became a destination for local areas and, if only a couple of hours of luxury cars, many local, Carlisle knows a renewed economic boom with their businesses and shops to attract people from all over central Pennsylvania. In addition, fine homes in Carlisle, in its downtown allows visitors to take in Carlisle, but not only the historical and picturesque surroundings.
Located just minutes from Harrisburg, Hershey, Gettysburg and Lancaster, and only two hours from Philadelphia and Washington DC, Carlisle is only a short but a world apart.
Founded in 1751 as county seat, Carlisle was the largest and richest city in Cumberland County. When walking Through this wonderful community, can help noticing the little things that make special Carlisle. Even in ancient times was written for the special qualities and character single city.
