Brocade Monastery
As a small landlocked kingdom in the Himalayas, Bhutan is a sovereign and self-sufficient but unknown to the outside world for most of its existence until mid-20th century. Cultural wealth of the country and the environment remained almost completely contaminated. Buddhism influences the daily life and strength like no other one can experience Living Buddhism in Bhutan.
Bhutan is the abode of the gods, and home of the immortals of the Himalayas. In addition to majesty and grandeur of nature, has a special environment where communion with the divine was possible through contemplation and meditation. It is Therefore, since time immemorial, ascetics, scholars, philosophers and pilgrims have been drawn irresistibly to these remote mountains and wild in their personal quest for wisdom, inspiration, solitude and happiness. Dance and religious music
Dances Religious leaders are called 'Cham' and many of them. The dancers wear costumes and spectacular silk brocade yellow, often decorated with bone ornaments coveted. For some dances, wearing masks depicting animals, deities fearsome, skull and manifestations of Guru Rimpoche or humans, to dry. Ngachham originality is very well preserved and practiced today in the monastery Dramitse under the leadership of His Eminence and Abbot Sungtruel Rinpoche.
