Buddha Statue
Indravihan Wat is located in the district of Nakhon Bangkok and is visited by locals and foreigners as well as other faithful who come to receive blessings. He was previously appointed phrik Wat Rai, however, during the period of King Rama VI, the name was changed to Wat Intharam will become more later known as Wat Indravihan.
The temple is famous for the large standing Buddha image known as the image of Thailand Buddhasiariyametriya which is 32 meters high. The arc of the Buddha image contains a sacred Buddha relic, which was gifted to Sri Lanka. It was built during the period of King Rama IV. The image faces east and is covered with mosaics of gold 24 carats, which were brought from Italy. This image represents many modern architectural designs.
At the foot of this large image of small statues of Buddha are placed also allowed visitors to mark their dedication.
