lost antiques
What kind of lost treasures can be found in an old house? You've probably heard of the book rarely found in the attic worth thousands or antiques that people find. It's funny, but about the things that someone actually went into hiding in order.
It is common to hide objects valuables or money in attics, in cellars, under the stairs, and in many places around the house. Unfortunately, It is also common to die without telling all those hidden things, or when they are hidden. It is the treasure of how we have lost.
Where to find the lost treasures
I helped to clean an old house once and found a jar full of coins in the attic. It was the old story, old man who had owned the house died shorty after sale. It had no family, and he had forgotten much of what he had hidden in the house. Could still have some old coins that bottle in my collection.
Some things I found in the attic brought me sixty dollars U.S. or less, in a garage sale. It had things hidden under the insulation and walls. I suspect there are still buried in the ownership of valuables home.
When I was young, I hid magazines in the basement of my parents, a fact that I just remembered now. The house was sold, but the chances are still there, on top of heating ducts, between the floor joists. Although there is not much value in this hidden treasure, however, it could be something useful to the person who is eighty years from now. If you have an old house, which should make you wonder what lay in it before you were born. Take a look.
No limit Search in attics, basements and storage of other obvious places. Research in the spaces under the stairs, garages, sheds, and advice in bulk (it used to be a preferred place to hide cash). Above the ceiling tiles is another good place to check. Lost Treasures are much more common than you might think.
A good example is a story I saw on the news one night. A couple of Chicago has found a lost treasure that has a lot of money for them. While ripping the walls his house during a renovation project, was found filled with thousands of posters of films that were old and valuable. It was later discovered that the house had been owned operator of a theater in the twenties and thirties.
The previous owner had been bringing all the film posters at home and was either hiding them or, more likely to be used for insulation. What was common to insulate homes with newspapers, magazines and other things. Time makes these things valuable. In fact, when the story was published, the couple had sold $ 200,000 worth of posters. They had even half of what they found as well.
Valuables research and caches money at home. If you have neither, rummaging in the basement of Mom and Dad, and old houses belonging to members of the family. Enter insulation in the attic (wear gloves and a mask). Shine a light in the crawl space, and wherever there may be hidden treasures and lost.
