Am I crazy to paint my kitchen cabinets in oak?
'm Remodeling my kitchen with oak cabinets. Im going to the country / primitive Search and I want to paint the cabinets a dark blue country, then the sand to give a primitive / antique finish, but everyone says I'm crazy. I thought that the rate of the workshop paint was on the verge of collapse. Am I really crazy to do this for my oak cabinets? What is the problem?
Oak was in my other house. I wanted white, but there was a price to upgrade important. As this was a new house, painting is never mentioned ... My husband thought he was crazy. The house we live in now had wood cabinets, and 70 were obsolete. I painted white and distressed. We finished nickel hardware and is again !!!!! GRAN You're not crazy. Go ahead. Men like the stained wood ... I hate it! I like the painted wood. Just be careful, it's a lot of work, but well worth worth it. And then, you're home. If people do not like, do not have to come. You can also tell people when they make the house payment, they can complain .... Lol We had to paint department at Lowe's. We said what we were doing and we sold a great primer. It is oil based, but after it dries, you can use any type of paint, oil or latex. It seals very well. Good luck!
