Need recipe for garlic Vietnamese Chilli Red - plastic bottle with a picture of Rooster & Cape Verde?
Do you know the recipe for this Sauce? I need the recipe, I'm addicted to the cause and unfortunately I can not get in my country! Boo Hoo This is an excellent sauce is Vietnamese Chill United States. This is a chili garlic sauce, by Huy Fong Foods (Rosemead, California). It comes in a bottle Plastic (also available in squeezy bottle!). the bottle is Chinese / Vietnamese writing on it and a picture of a rooster on it. The cover is green. The bottle says "Tuong Ot Toi Viet Nam" in white letters.
This is my favorite hot sauce. It's called Sriracha. Here's the recipe from a site called www.gourmetsleuth.com / srirachachilisauce.htm. You may also ask for site and they do international shipping. Hope this helps. For those interested, here is a recipe for making your own Sriracha hot sauce: Fill a tank with full medium cloves garlic, peeled. Fill the rest Road with 2 (at least) Habaneros and a mixture of nuts and serrano chili pods that have been learned, but not seeded. Add 1 tablespoon non, iodized salt and fill the tank (to cover the chile and garlic) with 5% strength white vinegar. Cider vinegar or wine vinegar will work, but will be a different flavor. As Re-pods Chile liquid Top hydrate with water or vinegar. After a few days to a week of soaking in vinegar clear the mess in the processor or blender and puree until smooth and thick consistency is reached. If mixture is too thick, may be diluted with vinegar or water. The result is a spicy sauce, garlic and quite delicious. 50/50 mix with tomato sauce (tomato sauce of America) made a very good cocktail sauce seafood Or you can serve as a sauce for tortilla chips. It is very versatile.
