What are some great exhibitions at the Metropolitan Museum in New York (The Met)?
I would be interested in seeing the European Paintings things that come from the American Civil War Antique Asian Japanese, Chinese, Korean objects.
Should you go to the Chinese Scholar's Garden (Called The Astor Court.) It's beautiful. It's inside. You can lift it up from the Egyptian Galleries. It lets you off directly in front of the Astor Court. The rest of the Asian galleries are close behind there. Also, check out the Robert Lehman Collection. They are separated from the other European painting rooms because they were donated by a man, and had to be held together. They on the back of the museum, and contains some beautiful objects, mostly from the last 19th century.
